The thing we like about auctions is the excitement. There’s nothing like the buzz of an auction — it’s more like a show than a shop.
Fast
Why traipse all over Christchurch trying to find what you want. You can pop in after 12:00 noon the day before the auction and check out what you want or simply bid on the day. We’ve got all sorts of things all under one roof at our convenient central Christchurch location (with plenty of free parking!).
Fair
At an auction you know you’re paying the true market price. There is no substantial retail markup on the goods we sell. At Smiths Auctions all you’ll ever pay is a 12.5% buyers’ premium.
No Fuss
We pride ourselves on being the Christchurch auction company that makes buying at auction easy. Fill in our simple Buyers Bidding Card to register. We’ll give you a buying number, which you hold up when you want to make a bid. No haggling, no hassle.
We’ll even bid for you if you can’t attend. Fill in our Absentee Bid Form and we’ll get the item you want for the cheapest possible price up to the limit you nominate.
First Time Nerves?
Don’t worry about it. Just let us know that you haven’t been
to an auction before and we’ll tell you everything you need to know.
And no, you won’t end up buying a grand piano just because you scratched
your nose.
